Pumpkin Parade

Pumpkin Parade - Oct. 27

This is an optional and school wide fun project. Help your child choose a favorite book and decorate a pumpkin to look like the main character from that book. Medium pumpkins work best— ones that your child can carry on their own. You may choose any way to decorate the pumpkin as long as it goes along with the character in the book chosen. Please do not cut into, carve, or puncture your pumpkin, as this will speed up rotting and it will not last (rotting pumpkins and books just don't mix). You can use paint (spray paint works really well), fake hair, accessories, glitter, etc. This is an at-home project that will need your assistance. Please work WITH your child, but please don’t do it for them. Please send the book with the child’s name inside (or make sure we have it in our library learning commons) and decorated pumpkin to school on Monday, October 27th. The library door will be open early so that students or families can come in and drop their creation off. Pumpkins will be on display in the library learning commons and will go home on October 31st
