We are really looking forward to our last official event of the 2024 Cross Country Season; the grade 2 Mini Meet! On Friday, May 3rd, we will invite the runners to the gym at 11:15 to warm up for their run and to get a Keating jersey. The race will commence at approximately 11:25 from the back playground of the school. The grade 2 runners will follow a group of older students who have volunteered to be our “rabbits” for this event.

The course will lead them out to the front sidewalk of the school, along Central Saanich Rd, left on Moore Place, Left on Eastgate, through the trail, up the stairs and on to the school grounds. Cones will be set out near the front covered area to act as a finish chute for our runners. Ribbons will be handed to the students upon completion of the race. The grade 3,4 and 5 teammates will be on the sidelines to cheer on our young runners. Parents wishing to attend should meet on the back playground of the school near the huts at 11:20 am.
